Against Aston Villa on Thursday in AZ Alkmaar's UEFA Europa Conference League match, Ghanaian winger Ibrahim Sadiq scored his team's first goal.
For the first time since joining the team during the summer transfer window, the 23-year-old was listed in the starting lineup.
In their third group match of the competition, AZ hosted Villa with the intention of winning their second straight after defeating Legia in their last outing.
But after the first forty-five minutes, the Premier League team's Leon Bailey and Youri Tielemans put them ahead by two goals, leaving the Dutch side behind.
Ollie Watkins and John McGinn scored two more goals for Villa in the second half of the game to add to their previous damage.
However, there was solace for the home team as Sadiq collected a pass and beat Emiliano Martinez with a low drive to give Villa the lead.
The Ghanaian is still adjusting to life at the club; in his first eight appearances in all competitions, he has already contributed two goals.
