The Goldfields Ghana Foundation has released updates on the construction at Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium, the future home of Medeama Sporting Club.
The corporation claims that $13 million has been spent in total on building the new stadium thus far.
Following their advancement to the CAF Champions League group stage, the mining business is in charge of building a 10,400-seat stadium for the Ghana Premier League winners.
A letter from Goldfield Ghana announcing the termination of their sponsorship agreement was received, as Medeama confirmed, earlier this month.
The corporation has moved to offer updates on the status of the stadium's construction, even if they haven't refuted the reports.
"The Foundation has so far invested over US$13 million dollars in the stadium, out of a budgeted US$16M, and this has proven to be one of the high-cost ticket items it has funded besides the Tarkwa to Damang asphalted road," according to a corporate statement.
"Despite the facility being a public one, there is however an added cost of more than US$2 million dollars in taxes."
They further mentioned that the Tarkwa-based side had received $100,000 for advertising.
