Braimah Kamoko, also known as Bukom Banku, is a Ghanaian boxer who has formally announced his retirement from competition.
The 43-year-old announced that, following several months of not competing professionally, he is retiring from fighting.
When Bukom Banku won a bronze medal at the All-Africa Games in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1999, he became well-known.
Throughout his more than 20-year career, he was the WBO Africa Light Heavyweight and WBO Africa Cruiserweight champion.
In an interview with Okay FM, Bukom Banku said, "I don't want to fight again because I'm now grown and my eye hurts too."
"I leave everything to my three children, who also happen to be fighters in boxing. I give my gloves to Mustapha and Abu Kamoko so they can continue the fight.
"I've already made the necessary preparations so they can carry on my name. Maybe they can reach where I was unable to in boxing. Thus, I've officially given up boxing."
His uncanny dominance in the ring led to an incredible 29 victories out of 30 fights; his lone loss occurred in October 2017 against Bastie Samir.
