Ghana, who spent the previous three rankings in the 60th spot, has now dropped even more to 61st.
According to the most recent rankings, the Black Stars will conclude the year with the best ranking of 59th, achieved in June 2023.
The first two games of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifications have been played by the Black Stars since the last update in October.
Ghana defeated the Central African Republic in their first game before falling to Comoros away from home in their subsequent encounter.
Conversely, the Islanders climb nine spots up the standings to post their best ranking in team history.
After victories against Ghana, Cape Verde, and the Central African Republic in their most recent international matches, Comoros is now ranked 119th.
