Kuami Eugene, an award-winning musician from Ghana, was hurt on Sunday night after his car collided with a dump truck.
The collision happened at CP in Accra, near the DSTV office and heading towards the Dzowulu traffic light. Where the artist was going is unknown. The collision happened at 11:30 p.m., according to Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, Editor of the Modern Ghana news portal, who was directly behind the musician's vehicle.
He told Myjoyonline.com that it wasn't until he moved closer to offer help that he realized it was the musician in the vehicle with one male passenger.
"I was the first to run to his aid because I was behind him. Before other guys arrived, I helped Kwame get out of the car and assisted the other passenger because he was having trouble getting out. I made arrangements for a car to take them to the UGMC medical centre."
He clarified that when the musician collided with the tipper truck from behind, it was moving, although slowly.
He clarified that when the musician collided with the tipper truck from behind, it was moving, although slowly.
He thinks the collision happened because the tipper truck's lack of a tail light made the N1 roadway appear darker than it actually is, which in turn made visibility worse.
Ajarfor also claims that he summoned Achimota Police Station personnel to the scene, whereupon they towed his vehicle.
He claims that the performer looks to have broken his arm because there was blood on his hands and a noticeable cut. In addition, he had a cut on his lip, a leg, and a hip injury.
"He is alright. His hands were covered in bl**d, and he was missing one arm. The airbags all burst and the automobile is severely damaged. He said, "He might have d*ed."
