Renowned presenter Abeiku Santana pointed out the important role Bisa Kdei has played in shaping the contemporary highlife music scene. According to him, Bisa Kdei paved the way for the current crop of highlife musicians through his influx of fresh energy.
Abeiku, speaking on Okay FM, noted that "Bisa Kdei has influenced Highlife music in Ghana amazingly. He has influenced most of the current artists, like King Promise and Kuami Eugene, through his unprecedented ability to make new things out of Highlife music."
Abeiku explicated that while in the days of artists like Ofori Amponsah, Bisa Kdei brought a different sound to highlife which has been well adopted by artists like Kofi Kinaata and King Paluta. He added that the talent and his insight as an artist have enabled Bisa Kdei to shape highlife into modern times, retaining its core elements hence giving it more acceptance locally and internationally.
"Bisa Kdei revived highlife music and that is no mean achievement, so we must all be proud of the way he paved for us to follow.
Bisa Kdei is a multi-award-winning musician celebrated for his hit songs like "Mansa," "Brother Brother," and "Asew." The singer again stretches his creativity in highlife with the single "Boso.".
