Black Sherif ft. AratheJay – Forever
Ghanaian music powerhouse Black Sherif teams up with fellow Ghanaian artiste AratheJay on “Forever,” the third track on his latest project, SUN SHERIF. The song forms part of the six-track EP released in September 2026 and brings together two of Ghana’s distinctive young voices for a record centred around perseverance, gratitude, faith and the journey toward something greater.
For Black Sherif, “Forever” arrives at an interesting point in his career. The Konongo-born artiste has moved from the raw energy of his early Sermon releases to becoming one of Ghana’s most recognised contemporary musicians. His debut album, The Villain I Never Was, followed in 2022, while IRON BOY continued his story in 2025. SUN SHERIF now adds another chapter to that progression.
The collaboration with AratheJay is also significant. AratheJay previously welcomed Black Sherif on “Jesus Christ 2,” making “Forever” a reverse collaboration in which AratheJay appears on Black Sherif’s own project. According to Pulse Ghana, AratheJay is the first Ghanaian artiste reported to feature on a Black Sherif project since the rapper’s 2022 debut album.
Musically, “Forever” takes a more reflective route than some of Black Sherif’s harder records. The song explores themes of faith, perseverance, gratitude and the realities that come with success, giving both artistes room to deliver an introspective performance.
The production is handled by Westen, who gives the song a suitable foundation for the two vocalists. Rather than turning the collaboration into a competition, Black Sherif and AratheJay complement each other’s presence, making “Forever” one of the project’s key collaborative moments.
The song also helps shape the wider identity of SUN SHERIF. With only six tracks, Black Sherif keeps the project compact while exploring different sides of his personality and musical growth. “Expresso” opens the EP, “Run Around” follows, and “Forever” then introduces AratheJay before the project moves into “Jolie,” “Frontline” and “Love Again” featuring Full Blown.
